Kids ages 6-13 will get a behind-the-scenes look at animal sheltering. Then they&#8217;ll use their creative skills to help get those animals adopted! Meeting critters, learning about their care and then actually caring for them will highlight the day, along with making enrichment items to comfort scared dogs and cats. The day will also include animal meet-and-greets, group games, and crafts. Pack a lunch and come spend the day with us!<\/p>\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nehumanesociety.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/bb-plugin\/cache\/486390812_1081286190705003_8617145734771015641_n-circle.jpg\" alt=\"486390812 1081286190705003 8617145734771015641 N\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"1334\" width=\"2000\" title=\"486390812 1081286190705003 8617145734771015641 N\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t<h3>Details<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The sessions are $70 per session and run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Once you pay for registration, you will receive a confirmation email containing a required form you will need to fill out to complete your child&#8217;s registration!\u00a0<\/strong>You can also find the form\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/support.nehumanesociety.org\/site\/Survey?SURVEY_ID=10222&amp;ACTION_REQUIRED=URI_ACTION_USER_REQUESTS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Each child receives a day of fun plus a &#8220;Camp Compassion&#8221; t-shirt!<\/li>\n<li>Each child will be required to bring a sack lunch marked with their name.<\/li>\n<li>All activities will be facilitated by a Humane Educator.<\/li>\n<li>Humane Educators are CPR, AED, First Aid, and EpiPen certified.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t<h2>\n\t\t\tUpcoming Sessions:\n\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t<p>March 18<\/p>\t\t\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/support.nehumanesociety.org\/site\/Ecommerce\/645911553?VIEW_PRODUCT=true&#038;product_id=2991&#038;store_id=2525\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRegister Now\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t<h2>\n\t\t\tCamp Information\n\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\tHow many campers are in each session?\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>We limit the sessions to 25 campers.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tWho teaches the sessions?\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Humane Educators are certified classroom teachers.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tWhat if my child has a medical emergency?\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Our camp teachers are all certified in CPR, AED, First Aid, and EpiPen usage. Should a medical emergency occur, Parents\/Guardians will be contacted as soon as is safely possible.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tWill my child be with kids of the same age?\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>This is a multi-age camp so all children ages 6-13 will be attending camp together. At times there will be smaller group activities that may include children of like age.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tWhat is the refund policy?\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis; therefore, we cannot hold any spots for potential campers. A refund can be provided but will be charged a $30 cancellation fee.\u00a0<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tHow early can I bring my child to camp?\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Campers should be dropped off to the Center for Humane Education building\u00a0no earlier than 10 minutes prior to the start of camp. Campers must be accompanied by an adult to sign them into camp. Camp staff members are not responsible for children until they are signed in by the adult accompanying them.\u00a0Campers must be picked up and signed out by an adult immediately after camp concludes. Late pickups will be charged a fee of $1.00 per minute after five minutes. Thank you for keeping our campers safe!<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tWhat should my camper bring to camp?\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Campers are required to wear closed-toe shoes. Please note, we may be moving to different buildings or have activities in varying temperature areas. Due to this, campers should wear long pants and bring a jacket. It is suggested that campers bring a refillable water bottle. Additionally, there will be a lunch break during camp, so campers should bring a sack lunch marked with their names. Lunches will be kept in the classroom refrigerator, \u00a0so we ask that all lunches are\u00a0<strong>Peanut and Tree Nut free<\/strong>\u00a0for the safety of all campers.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tWill campers get to interact with animals?\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Day camp includes supervised animal interaction and plenty of fun!<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Camp Compassion is an action-packed day of animal fun.
